The Illinois Criminal Code, being ILCS Ch. 720, Act 5, as passed, approved and amended by the State General Assembly, is hereby adopted by the village; the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the village; provided, however, the penalties as provided by this chapter shall apply.
