(A) The operation of motorized golf carts/UTVs by permit is hereby authorized on village roadways. During all times of operation, a golf cart/UTV shall have its headlights and tail lamps lighted and shall follow the occupancy requirements, speed limit restrictions, and all other provisions herein. Golf carts/UTVs must yield right-of-way to all overtaking vehicles at all times.
(B) Nothing in this chapter shall authorize use of golf carts/UTVs on any federal or state highway. Operation of motorized golf carts/UTVs is subject to all applicable provisions of the Illinois Compiled Statutes and the ordinance herein.
