§ 32.20 HOLIDAY BANK.
   (A)   A (12-day or 96-hour) holiday bank is hereby established for each of the following Police Department employees:
      (1)   Assistant Chief;
      (2)   Sergeant; and
      (3)   Uniformed officers.
   (B)   Overtime will not be paid for holidays that fall during the officer’s work schedule.
   (C)   Officers may schedule their holiday bank hours in the same manner as a vacation is scheduled.
   (D)   Hours in the holiday bank that are not scheduled or used by November 1 of each year will be paid to the officer in a separate check received with the last pay period in November.
   (E)   (1)   Officers who leave employment with the village before the end of the year will be required to reimburse the village for a prorated portion of holidays used, but not earned.
      (2)   The prorate for earned days equals one holiday per month.
   (F)   Full-time paramedics under the Fire Department shall be eligible to work under the provisions of § 32.20 of the Codified Ordinances, at the discretion of the Fire Chief and Village Administrator.
   (G)   Employees of the Police or Fire Departments who are enrolled in the holiday bank and who leave village employment through retirement or resignation shall be entitled to compensation for any holidays which they have earned but have not used during the calendar year in which employment ceases.
      (1)   The pro-rate for earned days equals one holiday per month.
