§ 152.39  COST OF ABATEMENT OF VIOLATION.
Within 15 days after the town’s Building Commissioner and/or the town’s designee taking action to abate a violation, the owner or party in possession of the property will be notified of the cost of abatement, including administrative costs incurred in curing the violation. The property owner may file a written protest objecting to the amount of the assessment within ten days to the Town Council. If the amount due is not paid within 30 days of the decision of the town’s Building Commissioner and/or the town’s designee or by the expiration of the time in which to file an appeal, the town may file a civil action to collect said costs, plus interest and reasonable attorney’s fees.
