For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
AMUSEMENT DEVICE. Any electrical or mechanical apparatus or device which, upon insertion of a coin, slug or token in any slot or receptacle attached to or connected with said device or machine, or for which a charge is made, operates or may be operated, for use as a game, contest or amusement, exclusive of vending machines, machines used solely for music and games of chance or gambling devices.
EXHIBITOR. Any person owning or conducting a place of business in the town and operating or exhibiting at such place of business one or more amusement machines which are designed to register a score.
OWNER. Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of renting out or placing amusement devices, and who rents or places such devices in any location within the town.
