In lieu of the attorney for the town prosecuting alleged violations of traffic ordinances on behalf of the town, the town may enter into a written agreement with the Prosecutor of the county, which agreement shall provide, among other things, that the County Prosecutor’s office shall prosecute violations of town traffic ordinances in return for a reasonable fee to be paid by the town.
