§ 110.27 ENTRANCE OF MINORS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   The licensee shall not permit any person under the age of 18 to enter or be present in the licensed premises. The licensee shall not sell, barter, furnish, rent, or give any item of merchandise to a person under the age of 18. The licensee shall have an affirmative duty to request proof of age at any point of sale or transaction or at any time it is reasonable to the licensee to believe the patron present in the licensed premises is under the age of 18.
   (B)   Proof of age may be established only by a valid driver's license or identification card issued by Minnesota, another state or a province of Canada, and including the photograph and date of birth of the licensed person, a valid military identification card issued by the United States Department of Defense or in the case of a foreign national from a nation other than Canada, a valid passport.
   (C)   It is unlawful for any person under the age of 18 to enter an establishment licensed under this chapter. It is unlawful for any person under the age of 18 years to purchase or attempt to purchase any item or merchandise in a licensed premises unless the minor is lawfully involved in a compliance check conducted by law enforcement agency.
