(A) Parking in village park. No person shall park any vehicle, trailer, motor home, motor vehicle, semi-trailer, or boat in the Village Park (as located on Mill Street and Park Street) at any time unless such parking is in connection with an immediate and lawful use of the park by the operator of said vehicle or its passengers.
(B) Exceptions. Nothing in this section shall be construed so as to prohibit the use of said parking facilities at any time by emergency vehicles or municipal vehicles of the village.
(C) Vehicles to remain in parking lots. All motorized vehicles must remain in the parking lots and are not allowed on any off-road areas such as grass, fields or recreational courts.
(D) Temporary permit. Any resident of the village may request the issuance of a temporary permit as a special exception from this parking prohibition. A temporary permit will be valid for no more than 48 hours, and the holder will be limited to no more than one such request in any 30-day period. Such a request shall be made in writing to the Village Council Park Committee no less than 30 days prior to the requested issuance date, and shall include a brief description of the nature of the request. There will be no fee for this permit. A temporary permit shall not be issued unless the Park Committee determines that issuance of this special exception in no way constitutes a nuisance or is detrimental to the health, safety, welfare or quiet enjoyment of the park’s neighboring land owners or the village.
