§ 2-7-2 MEMBERSHIP AND TERMS OF OFFICE.
   (A)   The Library Board shall consist of 7 trustees who shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Council. Ex-officio trustee, without voting privileges, may be designated by the Mayor with the approval of the Council.
   (B)   The terms of the trustees shall be for 3 years and shall expire on October 31 of succeeding years or until their successors are duly appointed by the Council, except that in the event of the Board membership complement falling below the required quorum level set forth in § 2-7-5, the membership vacancies shall be filled by the Council for their unexpired terms any time before the annual October appointment cycle using the then-existing talent bank applications. The terms shall be so staggered that the terms of no more than 3 trustees shall conclude in any given year. Ex-officio members shall serve for a term not to exceed 1 year.
   (C)   All trustees and ex-officio members shall be residents of the City of Apache Junction.
