Every person engaged in the business of conducting or operating a hotel, inn, rooming house, lodging house, auto camp, or other similar place in the city shall require all guests to sign their names and write their addresses in a book kept for that purpose; provided, however, minor children accompanied by a parent need not sign their names or write their addresses in such book.
