§ 4-1.117 POLICE DEPARTMENT SERIAL NUMBERS.
   (A)   The Chief of Police, or any officer assigned, shall place, stamp, or inscribe upon each bicycle licensed and registered a number corres-ponding to the license number issued and assigned to that bicycle.
   (B)   The number corresponding to the license number issued the bicycle shall be die stamped on the left side of the upright frame bar near the seat post with the letter “A,” followed immediately by the license number and thereafter, the crest symbol of the city.
   (C)   The same number shall be inscribed with an etching pencil or vibrator upon the left front fork near the wheel axle, on the rim of each wheel, next to the valve stem hole, and upon any easily removed accessory such as a light, speedometer, or other part the owner shall desire. Such inscription shall be encircled to prevent future alteration.
