§ 2-1-301. Chief Administrative Officer.
   (a)   Office. The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for administrative support to the Chief Administrative Officer.
   (b)   Officer. The Chief Administrative Officer is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the County Executive. The Chief Administrative Officer shall possess the qualifications required by the Charter and be appointed solely on the basis of the appointee's qualifications for performing the duties of the office. The Chief Administrative Officer has the authority, duties, responsibilities, and functions prescribed in the Charter and this Code, except the Chief Administrative Officer's supervisory authority over Executive Branch offices, departments, and units is as the County Executive directs.
