§ 1-8-103. Reward for theft of or damage to County property.
   (a)   Generally. On request of the Chief of Police, the County Executive may offer a reward in the name of the County for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for property damage to any public building or theft of or damage to any public property in the County.
   (b)   Amount. The reward shall be at least $25 and may not exceed 10% of the amount of the property damage incurred or 10% of the value of the property stolen or damaged.
   (c)   Payment. A determination by the County Executive of the person to whom a reward is to be paid is conclusive. On making a determination that a person is entitled to a reward, the County Executive shall cause to be introduced before the County Council a bill providing for the transfer of an appropriate sum of money from the contingency account of the Chief Administrative Officer to an appropriate account for payment of the reward.
