The Office of Criminal Justice and Corrections shall be administered by the Criminal Justice and Corrections Officer, who shall be appointed by the Chief Administrative Officer solely on the basis of the individual's qualifications for the duties of the office. The Criminal Justice and Corrections Officer shall be responsible directly to the Chief Administrative Officer.
