§ 12-7-106. Boating on Weems Creek.
   (a)   Agreement with the City of Annapolis. The County Executive may enter into a memorandum of understanding with the City of Annapolis to allow the City to extend the jurisdiction of the City to enforce Title 15, §§ 15.04.030 through 15.14.040 of the Code of the City of Annapolis over the waters of Weems Creek that lie within the boundaries of the County.
   (b)   Scope of agreement. The scope of a memorandum of understanding authorized under this section shall be limited to the City of Annapolis’s enforcement of Title 15, §§ 15.04.030 through 15.14.040 of the Code of the City of Annapolis and shall not authorize permitting of boats or improvements, the collection of fees, or the regulation of any structures extending from land within the County. Any enforcement actions undertaken by the City pursuant to a memorandum of understanding under this section shall be at the sole cost of the City of Annapolis.
   (c)   Liability. Subject to the appropriation of funds, the County shall indemnify and hold harmless the City of Annapolis from any claims of liability arising out of any act authorized by a memorandum of understanding under this section.
