(a) Service. An order or notice required by this article to be served shall be served on the person to whom the order or notice is directed by certified mail, return receipt requested; by personal delivery to the person named in the notice or order; or by personal delivery to a person of suitable age and discretion who resides with the person named in the notice or order. If two good faith efforts on separate days to serve the person in this fashion fail, service shall be made by publication in accordance with subsection (b).
(b) Notice by publication. A notice required by this article to be given by publication shall be published at least once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper circulated in the area affected by the notice or be posted on the property or in conspicuous public places in the area affected.
