§ 11-1-106. Stop-work orders.
   (a)   Issuance. The County may issue a stop-work order to a licensee who is engaging in any activity in violation of this article or who is doing work on a structure in violation of this Code or otherwise in an unsafe and dangerous manner. The stop-work order shall state the conditions under which the work or activity may be resumed. It shall be served by posting on the site and by delivery to the owner of the property, the owner's agent, or the person doing the work. Upon service of the order, the work or activity shall be stopped immediately, except for work or activity directed to be performed to remove a violation or unsafe condition.
   (b)   Civil fine. It is a Class D civil offense for a person to continue any activity or work in violation of a stop-work order.
