§ 10-13-101. Theft of cable service.
   (a)   Theft of cable service prohibited. A person may not make an unauthorized connection, physically, electrically, acoustically, inductively, or otherwise, to a franchisee's system for the purpose of receiving television signals, radio signals, pictures, programs, sounds, or other information or intelligence transmitted over a franchisee's cable system.
   (b)   Tampering prohibited. Without the consent of the franchisee or agreement with utility companies, a person may not willfully tamper with, alter, remove, or injure cable, wires, or other equipment used for the distribution of television signals, radio signals, pictures, programs, sounds, or other information or intelligence transmitted over the franchisee's cable system.
   (c)   Sanctions for violation. A person who violates a provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $500, imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both.
