§ 7-6-103. Statements of candidates.
   (a)   Generally. Each candidate required to file a statement under this title shall file the statement for each calendar year beginning with the year in which the person's certificate of candidacy is filed through the year of the election.
   (b)   Limitation. This section does not require the filing of a statement for any full year covered by a statement otherwise filed under this title.
   (c)   Filing with Board of Election Supervisors. A statement under this section shall be filed with the Board of Election Supervisors.
   (d)   Filing deadlines.
      (1)   The first statement required under this section shall be filed no later than the filing of the certificate of candidacy.
      (2)   In the year of the election, the statement shall be filed on or before the earlier of April 30 or the last day for the withdrawal of a candidacy.
   (e)   Consequence of late filing. If a statement required by this section is overdue and is not filed within 8 days after the candidate receives written notice from the Board of Election Supervisors of the failure to file, the candidate is deemed to have withdrawn the candidacy.
   (f)   Duties of the Board of Election Supervisors. 
      (1)   The Board of Elections Supervisors may not accept a certificate of candidacy or certificate of nomination of a candidate covered by this section unless the candidate has filed the statement required by this title in proper form.
      (2)   The Board of Elections Supervisors shall forward a filed statement to the Ethics Commission within 30 days after receipt.
