§ 7-2-107. Exemption from article.
   (a)   Exemptions authorized. The Ethics Commission may exempt from this article or may modify the requirements of this article as to a board, commission, or authority or a member of a board, commission, or authority if the Ethics Commission finds that, because of the nature of the board, commission, or authority, the application of this title to that board, commission, or authority:
      (1)   would be an unreasonable invasion of privacy;
      (2)   would significantly reduce the availability of qualified individuals for public service; and
      (3)   is not necessary to preserve the purposes of this article.
   (b)   Written request. The Ethics Commission may grant an exemption to a board, commission, or authority or member of a board, commission, or authority only on written request of the board, commission, or authority involved.
   (c)   Open records. Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, the records of the Ethics Commission in any matter in which an exemption is granted under this title shall be available for public inspection.
