§ 5-2-102. System established; purpose; status.

   (a)   Established. There is an Anne Arundel County Retirement and Pension System.

   (b)   Purpose. The System shall provide benefits for participants in the plans of which it consists.

   (c)   Status. The System is an agency in the executive branch of County government and has the powers and privileges of a corporation to the extent permitted by law.
