(a) Application required. An employee who wants to participate in the DROP shall complete an application on the form required by the Personnel Officer.
(b) Beginning date. In addition to providing the other information requested by the Personnel Officer, the employee shall specify a beginning date of the employee's DROP participation period that corresponds to the requirements of § 5-1-506.
(c) When submitted. An application shall be submitted to the Personnel Officer no sooner than 90 days and no later than 30 days before the beginning date of the employee's DROP participation period. An application may be submitted before an employee is eligible to participate in the DROP, provided that the employee is eligible as of the beginning date of the DROP participation period.
