A participant in the Fire Service Retirement Plan or the Police Service Retirement Plan who was hired by the County before July 1, 1990 may receive transferred service for service transferred from another state or local retirement or pension system under the provisions of the State Personnel and Pensions Article, Title 37, of the State Code, or its predecessor statutes as in existence on the date of transfer or under 1990 Md. Laws, Ch. 595, § 2, only if the transfer of service occurred before July 1, 1991.
