A participant in the Employees' Retirement Plan or the Detention Officers' and Deputy Sheriffs' Retirement Plan may receive transferred service for service transferred from another state or local retirement or pension system in accordance with the State Personnel and Pensions Article, Title 37, of the State Code. The participant shall make application for credited service no later than one year from the date of hire with the County, but in any event before the date of termination of employment.
