(a) State law. A shore erosion control district may be established in accordance with the provisions of Local Government Article, § 21-303, of the State Code.
(b) Petition. A petition for the establishment of a shore erosion control district shall be submitted with a subdivision plat of the proposed district as recorded among the land records of the County and certified by the Office of Planning and Zoning as an accurate configuration of the area to be included within the proposed district; an identification of the tax accounts representing the parcels or lots of real property in the proposed district that are to be assessed; and a description of the erosion control project to be undertaken.
