(a) Number and type of members. The Commission consists of at least 22 members appointed by the County Executive. Of the members:
(1) fifteen shall be voting members selected from the following groups: individuals with a disability, family members of individuals with a disability, representatives of organizations or agencies that provide services for or represent individuals with disabilities, persons interested in improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, or persons having expertise in matters pertaining to individuals with disabilities; and
(2) at least seven shall be non-voting members selected from any of the following entities and agencies or any other entity or agency that the County Executive deems appropriate: Anne Arundel County ADA Office, Department of Aging and Disabilities, Department of Inspections and Permits, Department of Public Works, Department of Recreation and Parks, Department of Social Services, Office of Planning and Zoning, Department of Health, County Council, and Police Department; Anne Arundel County Board of Education; Anne Arundel Community College; Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency, Inc.; the Anne Arundel County Public Library; the State Department of Rehabilitation Services; and the City of Annapolis.
(b) Residency. Each voting member shall be a resident of the County.
(c) ADA Coordinator. The ADA Coordinator in the Department of Aging and Disabilities shall serve as the liaison between the Commission and the County Executive and the Department of Aging and Disabilities. The ADA Coordinator shall provide administrative assistance to the Commission.
