It is unlawful for a driver to make a U-turn except at an intersection; however, U-turns are prohibited at intersections where there are regulatory signs prohibiting U-turns, and within The District and Uptown business districts. The Director of Public Works may authorize installation of U-turn prohibition signage as needed for public safety.
