It shall be unlawful for any person operating any vehicle to make a right turn against a red or "stop" signal, when a sign giving notice of such prohibition is posted as hereinafter specified. (Ord. 2551 § 1 (part); August 13, 1968; Ord. 5919 § 47; June 8, 2004.)
With respect to any intersection restricted pursuant to Section 14.56.010 above, the City Traffic and Transportation Manager is hereby authorized to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained, appropriate signs at or near those corners where the City Traffic and Transportation Manager determines that the making of a right turn against a red or "stop" signal would seriously interfere with the safe and orderly flow of traffic. Any signs placed pursuant to Section 14.56.020 shall conform to the provisions of the California Vehicle Code governing traffic signs. (Ord. 2551 § 1 (part); August 13, 1968.)
It shall be unlawful for any person operating a vehicle to make a left turn at any location where such turns are prohibited by ordinance or resolution of the City Council, and when a sign is posted giving notice that such turns are prohibited as hereinafter provided. (Ord. 2710 § 1 (part); August 5, 1969; Ord. 5919 § 50; June 8, 2004.)
The City Traffic and Transportation Manager is authorized to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained, appropriate signs giving effect to Section 14.56.050, where the City Traffic and Transportation Manager determines that the making of such turns would seriously interfere with the safe and orderly flow of traffic at the intersection.
