(a) Pursuant to the requirements of Section 51.55 of the Revenue Sharing Regulations, as published in the Federal Register, on October 17, 1983, the City advises the public, employees and job applicants that it does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to or treatment or employment in its programs and its activities.
(b) The City hereby designates the Director of Public Safety and Service as the contact to coordinate efforts to comply with this requirement.
(c) The Clerk of Council is hereby directed to provide public notice of the information contained in subsections (a) and (b) hereof, in a manner which shall insure communication of this information to the visually or hearing impaired.
