(a) Full-time personnel shall receive an annual paid vacation as hereinafter provided, or as provided in the prevailing Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, or in the prevailing contract between the City and the Fraternal Order of Police. Each employee shall become eligible for his respective vacation on his anniversary date and vacation leave shall be taken by the employee within the twelve months immediately following the anniversary date. If an employee fails to take vacation leave as provided herein it shall be forfeited, as no employee shall receive additional compensation, or pay or credit for any vacation not taken in accordance with the terms of this section.

(b) In the Divisions of Electricity and Sewers, and Waste Water Treatment full-time personnel shall be entitled to the following vacations:
(1) One week paid vacation after one year's service.
(2) Two weeks paid vacation after two years' service.
(3) Such vacation shall be set by the superintendent or the director of the department.
(c) In the Division of Streets, full-time personnel shall be entitled to the following vacations:
(1) One week paid vacation after one year's service.
(2) Two weeks paid vacation after two years' service.

(d) All City employees who have ten years of service are hereby granted an annual paid vacation of three weeks.
