149.05 WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT SUPERINTENDENT.
   (a)   There is hereby created the position of Waste Water Treatment Plant Superintendent which shall be a permanent, full-time position, filled and maintained, after competitive examination, under applicable Civil Service laws and regulations of the Civil Service Commission, and as provided by the Ohio Revised Code.
   (b)   The Superintendent shall hold and maintain a Class III operator’s permit issued by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and as defined in Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 3745-7.
   (c)   The Superintendent shall have charge of the maintenance and operation of the sewage disposal plant of the City, under the direction of the Director of Public Safety and Service, and in accordance with the regulations made and provided by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
   (d)   The Superintendent shall have exclusive supervisory authority over all employees of the Waste Water Treatment Plant and shall train, administer and coordinate the activities of such employees.
   (e)   The Superintendent shall supervise the performance of all laboratory analysis, interpret and apply the results of such analysis and complete all reporting requirements of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Environmental Protection Agency in the operation of such facility.
