(a) Effective January 1, 2004, the office of the Director of Law shall consist of the following positions, which shall be compensated as follows:
(1) Director of Law - $43,075.63 per annum.
(2) Prosecuting Attorney/Assistant Law Director - $34,460.50 per annum
(3) Civil Assistant - $23,691.59 per annum.
(b) The Auditor of the City of Amherst be and hereby is directed to amend the books and records of the City to provide that the compensation provided above, excepting mandatory contributions by the City of Amherst to the Public Employees Retirement System, shall be inclusive and that no payments shall be made to the Director of Law or his staff for health insurance or private office overhead expenses including but not limited to travel and transportation, postage, telephone, equipment and supplies.
(c) The per annum compensation for the Director of Law, Prosecuting Attorney/Assistant Law Director and Civil Assistant shall be increased by two and one-half percent (2.5%) effective January 1st of each successive year.
