179.03 OTHER BOARD ACTIVITIES AND COMMUNICATIONS.
   (a)   Any citizen or Amherst based business may present agenda items to the Board for consideration. After review for suitability, the Board may forward these items, in written form, to the appropriate City department for consideration.
   (b)   From time to time, City Council or member of the Administration may ask the Board to conduct research and write special reports. Likewise, the Board may present reports and recommendations, either orally or in writing, of its own choosing to City Council. Scheduling of these presentations shall be through the Clerk of Council.
   (c)   For those actions assigned by City Council or a member of the Administration, the Board shall have appropriate and necessary access to any City department/function. Such access shall be at the discretion of and coordinated through the office of the Safety Service Director.
