There shall be established an ADA Compliance and Oversight Board for the City of Amherst (hereinafter, the “Board”) comprised of the following individuals:
(a) A Chairman, who shall be appointed by the president of City Council and who shall be responsible for conducting all meetings of the Board in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order and in compliance with all relevant sections of the Amherst Codified Ordinances and the Ohio Revised Code.
(b) A Vice Chairman, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and who shall act in the place of the Chairman in the event of the absence or incapacity of the Chairman.
(c) Three members of the general public who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of City Council. Each year the Chairman shall designate one of these members to serve as recording secretary of the Board.
(d) The Safety/Service Director, the Director of Law and the Chair of the Community Development Committee of City Council or their respective representatives shall serve as ex-officio members of the Board.
