1337.09 VALIDITY OF PERMITS.
   (a)   Any permit issued pursuant to this Chapter 1337 shall be issued with an expiration date at which time said work is to be completed pursuant to said permit. Said expiration date shall be twelve (12) months from the date of issue with work, once commenced, to be completed without unnecessary delay.
   (b)   If in the course of construction, work is delayed or suspended for more than six (6) months, the approval of construction documents shall become invalid unless a requested extension was granted by the Building Official.
   (c)   If a permit extension is required, the following shall apply:
      (1)   Prior to commencing construction - one (1) extension shall be granted for an additional twelve (12) month period if requested in writing to the Building Official a minimum of ten (10) days prior to the original permit expiration. The fee for such extension shall be the same as the original fee but not to exceed one-hundred dollars ($100.00).
      (2)   During construction - two (2) extensions, not to exceed six (6) months each, shall be granted if requested in writing to the Building Official a minimum of ten (10) days prior to the original permit expiration. The fee for each such extension shall be the same as the original fee but not to exceed one-hundred dollars ($100.00) per extension.
