(a) There is hereby established the position of Building Inspector, who shall be unclassified as to civil service law and shall be appointed by the Director of Public Safety and Service.
(b) The position of Building Inspector is hereby declared to be a full-time position to be paid an hourly rate as provided in the Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO. The Building Inspector shall work no more than forty (40) regularly scheduled hours per week.
(c) There is hereby established the position of back-up Building Inspector, who shall be unclassified as to civil service law and shall be approved by the Director of Public Safety and Service. The back-up Building Inspector shall perform inspections in the event of the unavailability of the Building Inspector pursuant to section 4101:7-2 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
(d) The compensation for the position of back-up Building Inspector shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) for each inspection.
