The City of Amherst is hereby divided into four wards, which are equal in number to the members of Council who shall hereafter be elected from such wards according to law. The four wards are hereby created and re-established in the City and the boundaries thereof are so fixed so that each ward shall contain, as nearly as practicable, an equal number of inhabitants.
