(a) Basic Design Data.
(1) Quantity of sewage. The quantity of domestic sewage flow to be provided for in a separate system of sanitary sewers shall not be less than the following:

(2) Depth. The depth for sanitary sewers shall be as required for the type of building structure and elevation of the basement to be served, with two criteria to be observed. If a basement is to be served, sufficient depth for the main sewer below the established grade of the street, so as to:
A. Enable a house lateral laid on a minimum of two percent slope to have a depth of seven feet at the curb line, measured from the curb grade to the flow line; and,
(3) Location. The sanitary sewer shall be located in the treelawn.
(4) Manholes. Manholes shall be placed: at all intersections of two or more sewers; at all changes in size of pipe, alignment and grade; at the head end of the system; and at intermediate intervals of not more than 350 feet.
(b) City Standards. The sanitary sewer system shall comply with the City Standards for Sanitary Sewer Details, Appendix A.
(c) Materials and Installation. All materials used and the installation of those materials shall be in accordance with City specifications, Chapter 1115.
(d) Approvals. Sanitary sewer plans submitted for approval shall be either accompanied by separate contract plans or sewer specifications noted on the plans.
