PVC plastic pipe shall meet the requirements of ASTM D3034, "Type PSM Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Sewer Pipe and Fittings", SDR-35. All pipe shall be made of PVC plastic conforming to the requirements of ASTM D1784. All joints shall be of the elastomeric gasket joint (integral bell) type and shall meet the requirements of ASTM D3212. The bell shall be designed to retain the gasket to prevent pull out during the making of the joint and the spigot end shall have a clearly marked depth of entry ring. The pipe shall be installed in accordance with the requirements of ASTM D2321 and shall have a minimum of six inches of thoroughly computed granular bedding material under, around, and above the pipe. Granular bedding material shall meet the requirement of Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Construction and Material Specifications Item 304 or 411.
