911.11 HOUSE CONNECTION METHOD AND MATERIALS.
   The PVC plastic pipe shall be discontinued three feet outside of the walls or foundation of the buildings and shall be continued with cast iron pipe or plastic pipe of the same diameter. In either case, the cast iron pipe or plastic pipe shall meet approved standards for plumbing installations as provided in the Regional Dwelling House Code, copyright 1966, prepared by Cuyahoga County Regional Planning Commission. The six by six by four pipe cleanout just inside the wall shall be capped and no connection to the house system shall be made until installation has been tested and approved. All iron pipe used in the construction of drains or house connections shall be coded inside and outside with cold tar applied hot or with other nonrusting material acceptable to the Superintendent of Sewers. The joints of iron pipe shall be with gaskets of oakam, thoroughly sealed in with hot lead at one pouring so as to render them impermeable to gases, but wrought iron pipe with screw joints may also be used. All plastic pipe, fittings and joints shall be as provided in the Regional Dwelling House Code as aforesaid.
