911.09 METHOD AND DEPTH OF CONNECTIONS TO CITY SEWERS.
All connections with main or branch sewers shall be made at regular connecting branches built in the sewers, except by special permit from the Superintendent of Sewers. Whenever it is necessary to make a connection with any main or lateral sewer where no connection has been placed, the connection will be made by the owner, but no cutting or breaking into the sewer shall be done unless the Superintendent of Sewers or one of his assistants is present at the work site and gives his approval of the method employed.
All house connections shall be made straight, or in as direct line as possible to the connecting branches in the sewer into which the premises are drained and such connections shall be at least four feet below the surface of the ground.
