901.03 CASH SECURITY DEPOSIT; CONDITIONS OF ISSUANCE.
   The Safety-Service Director or Street Department Supervisor shall require security as a condition of issuance of any such permit which shall be the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) cash. The condition of such permit shall be that the applicant shall within thirty days of the issuance of such permit restore such street or public grounds to its former condition. In the event of the failure of such applicant to do so, the City may restore such public grounds or street at the expense of the applicant. The Safety-Service Director or Street Department Supervisor shall further require as a condition precedent to the issuance of any such permit that the applicant will save and hold the City harmless from any damages suffered by any person resulting from such excavation or obstruction. In addition thereto as a condition to the issuance of such permit, the Safety-Service Director or Street Department Supervisor shall require the erection and maintenance of such proper and reasonable barricade or other safeguards as he may deem necessary for the protection of the public until the opening is closed and resurfaced.
