Issuance of a permit or any action by the Building Commissioner under this chapter shall not create in the village, its officers, agents, or employees any liability or responsibility for injury to persons or property caused by operations or conditions created pursuant to such permits. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to relieve the owner or person in control of property from liability for injury to persons or property.
