ADOPTING ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NO. 2001-2
   ORDINANCE ADOPTING, REVISING, AMENDING AND RESTATING EXISTING GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE, AND ENACTING SUCH ORDINANCES IN A NEW BOOK FORM
   WHEREAS, the present general and permanent ordinances of the Village, which several years ago were arranged and classified in book form, require revision and recodification in form and substance for the general welfare of the Village and for the proper conduct of its affairs; and
   WHEREAS, the Village Council has authorized and contracted with American Legal Publishing Corporation, of Cincinnati, Ohio, for a general compilation, revision and codification of the ordinances of the Village that are of a general and permanent nature and the publication of such ordinances in a new book form; and
   WHEREAS, the Law Committee of the Village, having been authorized and directed to work with the aforesaid publishing company, has considered and recommended to Council the passage of such ordinances in a newly designed book form.
   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF AMBERLEY VILLAGE, STATE OF OHIO. Seven (7) members thereto concurring:
   SECTION 1: The general ordinances of Amberley Village, Ohio, as revised, amended, restated, codified, and compiled in November, 2000, in book form, are hereby adopted and enacted as, and shall constitute, the "Code of Ordinances of Amberley Village, Ohio."
   SECTION 2: Such Code of Ordinances as adopted in Section 1 shall consist of the following Titles:
         TITLE I: GENERAL PROVISIONS
         TITLE III: ADMINISTRATION
         TITLE V: PUBLIC WORKS
         TITLE VII: TRAFFIC CODE
         TITLE IX: GENERAL REGULATIONS
         TITLE XI: BUSINESS REGULATIONS
         TITLE XIII: GENERAL OFFENSES
         TITLE XV: LAND USAGE
         TABLE OF SPECIAL ORDINANCES
         PARALLEL REFERENCES
         INDEX
   SECTION 3: All prior ordinances pertaining to the subjects treated in the aforesaid Code of Ordinances of Amberley Village, Ohio shall be deemed repealed from and after the effective date of this ordinance except as they are included and re-ordained in whole or part in such Code; provided, such repeal shall not affect any offense committed or penalty incurred or any right established prior to the effective date of this ordinance, nor shall such repeal affect the provisions of ordinances levying taxes, appropriating money, authorizing the purchase or sale of real or personal property, granting or accepting easements, plat or dedication of land to public use, vacating or setting the boundaries of streets or other public places; nor shall such repeal affect any other ordinance of a temporary or special nature or pertaining to subjects not contained in or covered by the Code.
   SECTION 4: Such Code of Ordinances, following its adoption and approval by Council, shall be deemed published as of the day of the posting of true copies of this Ordinance at all places of public notice as designated by the present Code.
   SECTION 5: Such Code of Ordinances shall be in full force and effect as provided in Section 4, and such Code, and all provisions, sections, penalties and regulations therein contained, shall be presumptive evidence in all courts and other places of the Code of Ordinances, and of the date of passage and the date published.
