No person who is the owner, agent, operator, or other person in charge of any vehicle shall permit such vehicle to remain parked, standing, or abandoned upon any street for a continuous period longer than 72 hours, including Sundays and holidays. This section shall not be construed as affecting any other parking regulation now in effect or that may hereafter become effective but shall be construed as an additional parking limitation. The purpose of this section is to prohibit continuous long-time parking and the storage of vehicles on the street of the municipality.
