§ 70.04 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES TO COMPLY WITH TRAFFIC RULES.
   The provisions of this Traffic Code shall apply to the driver of any vehicle owner by or used in the service of the federal government, this state, county, or municipality, and it shall be unlawful for any such driver to violate any of the provisions of this traffic code, except as otherwise permitted in this traffic code or by state statute.
