The permit required by § 50.21 shall not be issued until the applicant has deposited with the Village Treasurer a sum equal to 2% of the contract price for the sewer construction. If there is no contract, the applicant shall deposit 2% of the estimated cost of the sewer construction, as determined by the Village Engineer. The deposited funds shall be held in a separate fund by the village and be used for the cost of sewer maintenance in the village.
