(a) Residential Rates: The following monthly rates are hereby established and shall be paid by Residential Customers having access to and use of water furnished by and sold by the city. Residential Customers are customers of the city whose water purchased is consumed for family, personal or household use. The rates to be paid by Residential Customers are:
(1) A monthly charge of $28.00 for each point of usage, of potable water within the corporate boundary of the city designated as a base rate, payable regardless of the use of water so long as water is available at the point of usage in the city's pipeline and the meter is in place. For all points of usage not within the corporate boundary of the city, the base rate shall be $30.00.
(2) The sum of $5.24 per thousand gallons for all water usage measured through the meter installed at each point of usage, for all potable water furnished by the city to Residential Customers.
(3) The sum of $3.00 per month plus $1.50 per each 1,000 gallons of water used for all users of raw, untreated, non-potable water. After a meter is installed the $3.00 base rate for a point of service for such non-potable water shall continue, regardless of water usage, unless the meter is removed and service is discontinued, in which event a $25.00 reconnect charge shall be made for reestablishing service.
(4) All charges for water usage shall be computed to the nearest 100 gallons.
(b) Commercial Rates: The following monthly rates are hereby established and shall be paid by Commercial Customers having access to and use of water furnished by and sold by the city. Commercial Customers are customers of the city who are primarily engaged in wholesale or retail trade, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, transportation, communication, sanitation services, finance, insurance, real estate, personal services, governmental services or any other form of business that does not fall directly within one of the other classifications of this subsection and whose Full-Time Employees (FTE) or the equivalent of Full-Time Employees is less than 200. The rates to be paid by Commercial Customers are:
(1) A monthly charge of $42.00 for each point of usage, of potable water within the corporate boundary of the city designated as a base rate, payable regardless of the use of water so long as water is available at the point of usage in the city's pipeline and the meter is in place. For all points of usage not within the corporate boundary of the city, the base rate shall be $42.00.
(2) The sum of $5.24 per thousand gallons for all water usage measured through the meter installed at each point of usage, for all potable water furnished by the city to Commercial Customers.
(3) The sum of $3.00 per month plus $1.50 per each 1,000 gallons of water used for all users of raw, untreated, non-potable water. After a meter is installed the $3.00 base rate for a point of service for such non-potable water shall continue, regardless of water usage, unless the meter is removed and service is discontinued, in which event a $25.00 reconnect charge shall be made for reestablishing service.
(4) All charges for water usage shall be computed to the nearest 100 gallons.
(c) Industrial Rates: The following monthly rates are hereby established and shall be paid by Industrial Customers having access to and use of water furnished by and sold by the city. Industrial Customers are customers of the city whose Full-Time Employees (FTE) or the equivalent of Full-Time Employees is 200 or greater. The rates to be paid by Industrial Customers are:
(1) A monthly charge of $125.00 for each point of usage, of potable water within the corporate boundary of the city designated as a base rate, payable regardless of the use of water so long as water is available at the point of usage in the city's pipeline and the meter is in place. For all points of usage not within the corporate boundary of the city, the base rate shall be $125.00.
(2) The sum of $5.24 per thousand gallons for all water usage measured through the meter installed at each point of usage, for all potable water furnished by the city to Industrial Customers.
(3) The sum of $3.00 per month plus $1.50 per each 1,000 gallons of water used for all users of raw, untreated, non-potable water. After a meter is installed the $3.00 base rate for a point of service for such non-potable water shall continue, regardless of water usage, unless the meter is removed and service is discontinued, in which event a $25.00 reconnect charge shall be made for reestablishing service.
(4) All charges for water usage shall be computed to the nearest 100 gallons.
(d) Bulk Rates – Non-Potable Water: Bulk, non-potable water will be sold, at the city's convenience, to those who have appropriate tank trucks or other city-approved receptacles. The rates for bulk, non-potable water shall be $6.00 for the first 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof, and 30 cents per 100 gallons for all amounts over 1,000 gallons.
