The cost of a building permit will be $.06 per square foot for constructing or enlarging a structure. Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous sentence, however, the minimum cost of such permit will be $10 and the maximum cost of such permit will be $150. This fee includes one inspection. The fee herein shall be paid to the city clerk and the same shall be credited to the general operating fund of the city. The applicant may be required on demand of the zoning administrator, to submit construction plans, architectural drawings, blueprints or other documentation to show or substantiate square footage of planned construction before a building permit is issued.
