A contractor shall not be found in violation of this chapter, nor disciplined by the CLB for a violation of an applicable building safety code provision if the contractor performs the work in accordance with and reliance upon duly certified plans and specifications prepared or approved by an architect or engineer licensed in Ohio without knowledge by the contractor that such plans and specifications, or pertinent parts thereof, are in violation of applicable codes.
